A collaboration can be a great opportunity to try something new with your work. I’ve been keen to develop my work, and something that was really missing was bolder, darker backgrounds.
I contacted Scottish chocolatier, Quirky Chocolate as part of their artist collaboration programme, and suggested developing one of my existing illustrations into a series of three variations. It was a great chance to create new patterns and compositions, and think about how they would sit together.
I’m really pleased how different these illustrations look with the dark backgrounds.
