I'm thrilled to share my latest illustrations from the Autumn issue of Kew magazine. As a regular contributor, each season I create a double spread for the Members' Map section.
My Autumn map features six hand-painted highlights, including the Kew Log Trail with its weird fungi, the colourful Grass Garden at the Alpine House, and a feature on the remarkable Marianne North and her extraordinary gallery. Each illustration captures the essence of Kew's autumnal landscape, bringing them to life in a way that is sure to delight readers.
I'm particularly proud of my work for Kew. Every brief is a dream commission. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Here’s a look at the illustration in situ.
Everything is painted by hand in watercolour. I’ve made a few painting process videos. You can see them in full on my instagram reels.
