I am so pleased to share my biggest mural to-date; for 601 Queen’s Road in Wimbledon.
The bar/restaurant boasts one of the brightest and most sun-filled spaces in London because of its beautiful domed glass ceiling and a huge terrace, but it suffered from a gloomy entrance and stairwell. As part of their current refurbishment, and partnership with Chase spirits, I was invited to inject some colour into their entrance.
The brief was to include some of Chase’s drinks and botanicals, as well as small bouquets of brightly coloured flowers. The team were keen to install the mural without the need for platforms or scaffolding, so despite the very high ceilings, I was restricted how big we could go. We were also restricted in colours, as the walls were already painted in a very dark blue. So, we decided to brighten the darkest corner with pops of colour, and allow the artwork to lead people upstairs.
Have a look at my Instagram to see a reel of the installation.
