I was recently commissioned to create my first ever magazine front cover. It's a fab little collection of food illustrations for WestJet; a Canadian budget airline's magazine. Sadly I've not been able to get my hands on a copy yet (it's only available in Canada) but I'm hoping that my copy is making it's way to me right now.
The cover features food from around the world, including kakigori, which is something I'd never heard of.
It's a Japanese dessert made of shaved ice and fruit puree, which sounded delicious, and perfect for the London summer, so I went and hunted down my very own kakigori in London at Hone Pokē. It was so good. Here's a picture of me enjoying it.
