Last year I was invited to create a new menu cover for the Michelin restaurant, Tamarind. They wanted to redesign an existing artwork with something that better represented their menu, but maintain a creative and abstracted style. I recreated their signature dishes in an abstracted watercolour to add some colour and interest to the overall menu design.
The best thing about working with a restaurant, is the ability to test out the food, and I was delighted to be invited along by Tamarind to try the food. Tamarind was one of the first Indian restaurants to win a Michelin star, and is a constant feature in Mayfair’s food scene. We all ordered the vegetarian tasting menu with paired wines. What a treat!
Sorry for the poor quality photos. We were too busy having a good time.
