If you haven’t seen Sky’s original docuseries, Kingdom of Dreams, I highly recommend it. It’s a retrospective of 90’s fashion; reflecting on the glamorous heights and tragic lows of the iconic fashion houses and visionary designers of the decade.
I was invited to create a series of fashion illustrations inspired by key moments from this era; from Tom Ford’s sexy genesis at Gucci, to Marc Jacob’s grunge collection. The artworks were created to support the private viewing of the docuseries at the V&A in London.
The illustrations were used across the V&A as table settings, instead of flowers, and became a teaser to some of the archival fashion that would be shown in the preview.
After the preview, I was on hand to offer fashion illustrations to guests.
