At the start of the month, I was invited over to Ireland to host an influencer workshop for the lovely team at Kildare Village. For those who don't know Kildare Village, it's a luxury designer outlet village (sister to Bicester Village) based on the outskirts of Dublin.
Kildare Village were celebrating all things "personalised" with a month-long customisation pop-up where customers could choose from denim painting, leather painting, embroidery, patches and customised trainers. The influencer workshop was a great way of launching the event and getting people speaking about it.
The workshop was unexpectedly popular, meaning that it was oversubscribed. Twenty one influencers came along to learn how to hand-paint their Village purchases.
Of course, painting directly onto your brand new leather Coach bag with permanent paint is no mean feat, and I was really impressed by how much people were willing to take part. I worked everyone through the process step-by-step, first having a go on some scrap leather, and showing how to transfer designs via templates, and to build the artwork up slowly.
